Now i'm all for following trends, but sometimes fashion just gets a little to hectic for me. I can't be wearing Giles Deacon's Pac Man helmets or wearing a heel-less shoe from Marc Jacobs like the next person. But one trend that i have seen in the past year is cringe worthy. I'm no expert or dictator for fashion trends, but i do believe that you really should dress for your figure and knows what suits you. And sometimes that means that a certain style or trend, will quite bluntly, look horrific on some women, while others simply look amazing.
My one true pet hate is the wet look legging, ICK! This may be because when i tried them, i look like an extra from the next Star Wars film, but quite honestly i think they are trashy and just look plain damn weird. If you had told me last year, that half the female population (would attempt) to wear these, i would have rudely laughed in your face, to tell the truth. Now don't get me wrong, i have seen plenty of women really pull these leggings off, one being a really good friend of mine (she does have legs going on for miles, may i add). I'm starting to wonder, is it because this trend is all to accessible, that i can't stand the sight of them?
When they were first debuted in American Apparel, they were a novelty. Now they are plastered in every window display, such as River Island, Primark and New Look. Is is because i see alot of women parade around in them, that really shouldn't and should know better, that i'm put off buy them? Who knows, all i can say is Wet Look Leggings are my one pet hate!
