i just called to say i love you!

Long time, no see? October has been such a busy month already, i started uni, aged a year, went to Paris and went back to Stylist. And along the way i bought a few bits and i thought i would share. I won't go into the birthday shenanigans just yet, as i'm still recovering from a night of 80's dancing with my best friends, i'll save that (embarrassment) for another ramble!

As i mentioned in one of my earlier posts, Topshop held a student night in some of their larger stores to which my friend Sarah and i attended the Oxford St branch. We also did a bit of shopping here and there and everywhere too, naturally. One of the first stops was Selfridges where they are currently holding The Shoe Galleries, which was fabulous! They have completely transformed their shoe department into an actual gallery which some of the most fiercest shoes on display to completely lust over. Decked out with large human-sized shoes, with the shoe shop designed like no other, you are also invited to try out their very own photo booth, simply selecting a pair of shoes to go pose with and tell your very own shoe story. Wait out side and bam, your polaroid is there to collect! I really recommend going, just for the giggles, lusting and free photo of course!

After trying on a few sneaky pairs of Chanel pumps, we then head over to the more, lets say the more affordable shoes, where i came across these... the brogue. Which i find rather manly, because you know, they are actually designed for men, but for me? It took some strong persuading from Sarah, but i'm so glad. I think they are the comfiest shoes i have ever purchased, and perfect for the winter, a real twist on flats.

We then popped over to H&M, where i had previously spotted this dress online and knew i had to buy. It's very sheer, floral and pretty, perfect with layers, with an added edge of a cuff detail.

If you own an iPhone, be sure to download the H&M app, if you shake it, a 20% voucher will appear to be used in store. Then if you sneaky, like me, delete the app, then re-download and wham! another voucher.

Finally we popped over to Topshop, which was PACKED. Words cannot describe the mad-panic of girls squabbling and rushing around for their size. Being the somewhat freakily obsessed TS fans that we are, we had already sussed out what we were looking to buy, and er thats when things got a little bit expensive.

Let me introduce you to my all-time favourite piece of clothing this winter.

This coat is freeking amazing, it flares, it has fur, its navy, its mine! At the awful price of £95.00. Thank the lord for 20% off (and student loan). The fit is so perfect and very well tailored for a high street coat. I love it.

Then after rummaging around the dresses, i finally came across my dusty pink shift dress. I adore the colour and fit, and i'm so glad i managed to get my hands of it!

After giving my debit card a good burn, we then went to have a play with the new A/W make up, well it would be rude not too.

One last thing, i just had to show you this fur collar/scarf thing i bought from H&M. Worn with my Topshop trench, it really transforms my trench into a whole other coat, as well as making me feel like Doris Day in a Touch of Mink, ooh the glamour.

Hello, is it me your looking for?

My apologies for lack of posting, i was sick again! boo. blame my mothers cooking - no really.

However, i was fully recovered by Thursday, when i hit up Westfield with my bff Sarah. I was determined to demolish my student loan - i am an excellent student i'll have you know - plus dare i intern without a new wardrobe? So off to Westfield we traveled, only a quick train to Shepard's Bush. Hm. I don't think i'm really that wowed by it, sure it's big but most of the shops are either to farr out of my price range or i've simply never heard of them! Yet, it does house a stand along Mac and Inglot stores, and ladies - that overcomes any flaws ;)

nomming it at Gourmet Burger. this place is amaze. even though, the dork behind me in the line ordered food to the wrong table, meaning they got ours. but after a very, very large of complimentary Rose in the sun put a smile on my face!

standing outside some funky mirrors, the mall itself is very sleek and pooosh. i really recommend going early morning week days, its EMPTY. oh, the joys of the recession ;)

i was suppose to go to a Mulberry sample sale, yet i decided against it. i'm really indecisive and Sarah didn't have a rsvp, trust me i would have bought everything.. although i did take my bayswater in for a maintenance and grooming session, hence the Mulberry shopper! they hoovered, buffed and waxed my beloved. what bloody good service, eh?

the topshop sale went live Thursday online, but apparently according to the bff, the server crashed! come on Topshop & Outnet, for the love of god, sort out your servers!

technically i didn't buy this. did any one enter the Flake Benefit comp? Well after fifty million of Flake bars eaten, i finally won a lip gloss. It was a pretty good competition, i got to eat chocolate and win lip gloss at the same time - and you got to choose the actual shade you wanted (so no icky dark purple). One was delivered to me about a month ago, but to my disappointment the sponge wand was all ripped and i couldn't even apply the actual gloss, groan.

after a stroppy email later and no reply, another! lipgloss appeared on my door step on Thursday, with wand sponge intact. who knows how this ended up on my doorstep - they certainly didn't reply to my email and I'm sure i didn't eat that many Flakes..

and what you've been waiting for! Inglot is a Swedish? company with only one store in the UK. I have seen some amazing products on the blogs, but the range of lipsticks, nail varnishes and eye shadows is amaaazing. See the crazy, pictures here - they had me swooning!

me and Sarah were able to browse the dinky yet impressive store considering we were the only customers. the sales assistants explained that each pan of eyeshadow was £3.50 each, or we could fill a palette - the above was £15.00 - not bad for 5 highly pigmented eyeshadows. there were all different types, shapes, sizes of pallets available at different prices, which could fit lipstick pans , bronzers and blushes.

The prices are slightly cheaper than Mac, if memory serves a nail varnish £7.00 (any nail varnish junkies must visit), foundation £12.00, lipsticks £11.00 with brushes with a max price of £25.00.

i am seriously impressed with Inglot, we were like two kids in a candy shop. part of the fun is choosing like pix and mix! i can't wait to go back and have a closer look at the varnishes and cream blushes.

Yesterday, a friend and i went to London to do some much needed shopping. My friend Sarah, (yes, she is really called Sarah too) also had an interview to intern at Southwark Theatre, so went up fairly early. I really miss traveling into London when i'm on uni holidays, i do love living in my ickle village but sometimes its good to be in the city, so many adventures to be seeking out.

After pondering over the Laura Mercier eye brow pencils, i went into Liberty's and bought myself the Blonde pencil. The sales assistant also pointed out and drew what eye brow shape i should aim for, which was really helpful. Not ever having any eyebrow with a natural shape is quite confusing when you want to 'fake' them. She also gave me a mascara wand to brush through my eyebrows and suggested that i should purchase a LM pencil sharpener because the pencil is a funny, triangle shape - although this makes it much easier to hold the pencil and lightly brush on the skin with ease.

this is me with my normal eye brows, they are starting to come through thicker but they are so fair towards the end. i really wanted eyebrows to frame and shape my face, its amazing to see what a difference they made.

as you can see i haven't gone the full whack, partly because its damn right odd seeing myself with a full on brow and i don't want it to be so obvious that i have drawn them on, yes?

ironically, after uploading my video the other night which i state that its pointless me buying lipsticks or lip glosses because i never wear them, i went out straight the next day and bought Cherries in the Snow by Revlon. Its such a bright pink, red lipstick. I really felt like a change, and with freshly new dyed darker brunette hair it really looks pretty.

this super cute tailored shorts were a must when i saw them, they remind me of Chole and Burberry.

these vintage looking sandals were a savior, after walking up, down, all around Oxford St, the shoes i were wearing were not cut out for hardcore shopping. so after having my eye on these for a while, i snapped them up on the asap.

all the cardis i seem to have are all wintry, so i popped into h&m to pick up some for Spring/Summer.

I'm really loving peach at the moment, it such a soft summery colour.

i also purchased some Pan Oxyl online, this spot cream is only available over the counter. as i don't have acne i didn't think i would qualify to buy it, so i bought it online. Apparently this gel is suppose to be a miracle worker, completely destroying spots over night, however i will have to give it a trail before i fully comment on this product. For £3.50, i will be interested to see what its like. After using my Clinique cleanser and toner my skin has radically become less congested, but before then i spend far more that this price trying to find a wonder product.
