You know that moment you fall in love with piece of clothing, walk away, then swear at yourself repeatedly for never buying it? Well thats this dress. It came and went, much to my sadness. However after a naughty (before pay-day, whip out the credit card) Topshop ponder, i was so relived to see it back in stock and hey presto, the optical allusion-esk colour panels really do portray an amazing hour glass shape, if i do say so myself! And of course, as soon as i stepped into my freezing garden, this little fellow bounded over...

That's me, in skinny black jeans, thats right. Nearly three heart attacks in the fitting room, four size variations and various jumping around, i bought a pair of black skinnies. Why? Because whilst on the tube, i saw a beautiful girl rocking the most tapered pair of black jeans i've ever seen, with red cherry lips and oversized cream shirt. Naturally, i ran out to shamefully borrow her look. London really is a street style book of inspiration.

 Frilly Cape Tea Dress - New Look (£17.99)

I adore this wine coloured tea dress, it's cape detailing is understatedly pretty. Very versatile for the unsual September sunshine, and hopefully with thick knitted tights when winter really sets in! I've done an horrendous amount of overtime recently, so it was lovely just spend the day in the garden sprawled out on a blanket reading and i'm now off out to a mexican dinner with the boy, yum!

Collarless Swing Coat - Tesco (£45.00)

Before i begin, let me just note that these snaps were taken in such haste due to the large quantity of builders sitting in the Tesco cafe having a good ponder at me as i whipped out my iPhone. Full English's aside, i LOVE this coat! Evoking my inner Kate Middleton, i've always, always lusted over a clean cut classic cream winter coat. The no-collar just screams 50's prim and proper, something a bit special. And where did i find one? Oh just ya know, stocking up groceries (sweets and magazines) in my local Tesco for a barginous £40, as a lovely sales assistant thrust a five pound off voucher in my face. Perfect.

I have a rather alarming stash of coats already, but really lets think rationally here. Let me put on my glasses. Lets coin the term Coat-Cost-Per-Wear. We live in bloody England, its always sodding raining and pouring. What keeps us going the winter months, apart from copious cups of tea and leaving our beloved pyjamas on the radiator, its a good winter coat. You practically wear it solidly right from October to February, so technically they become cheap as chips. God good, was that a long enough excuse? Just nod, and feel free to pass it off as your own.

Tesco currently have a promo running online, by entering AW-LFW to save £10 off £40 purchases. Which is i dare say rather tempting, especially with these TS look-a-like shift dress and black boots, which are in my eyes a steal at that price. 

Have you decided what coat trend you'll be wearing this year? I'm still partial to my previous buys, including a pillar box red duffle and my endless faux fur fitted navy coats. This coral 60's coat by Warehouse is another sneaky purchase i'm planning, what a way to jazz up the morning commute.

Last Sunday, i ventured into Croydon in a last bid mission to make the use of my Nus card - as the graduate card doesn't offer any kind of bloody clothing discount, meh. I picked up a few key a/w pieces already, egged on by mother who said 'you'll only be stropping when you can find them in a month's time!' I may be a fully grown adult, but mothers are always, painfully right. So i whipped out my debit card and put an end to any 'stropping', i love a good excuse.

Belted Floral Dress - New Look (£29.99)

With my 20% discount voucher from Grazia i decided on a mass splurge in New Look. They a/w pieces are bloody impressive, and i find myself lusting over must-have items, unlike my local Topshop which looks basically bare. This wine floral print dress is perfect with black tights for winter, the cut is very flattering, which you can't really tell here, but the belt does wonders.

Cable Knit Cardigan - Primark (£14.00)

I rarely shop in Primark, mainly because most of it is crap and i can't be faffed to find the amazing gems we are all sucked into in their latest ad campaigns/look books. However, upon spotting this thick cardi i snapped up two, one in cream (above) and a dark camel shade. They are lovely and warm, the right length, not to mention the vintage regal golden buttons are the perfect final touch. I reckon these will sell like hotcakes!

Dark Red Paperbag Skirt - New Look (£24.99)

I already bought this skirt in pale pink over the summer, but as soon as i clapped eyes on this dark red version i had to have it. Worn with tan brogues and a sharp blazer/snuggly cardi.

Belted Chinos - New Look (£24.99)

Is it to early to whip out the black tights? Its far to late to go bare-legged? Leggings, no thank you. Chinos have been my seasonal change over holy grail item of clothing, i even own four pairs! This dark red wine shade is my wardrobes answer to the colour blocking trend, without being 'too out there.' I think they are rather statement for a neutral loving girl, looking polished and on trend. The navy pair found their way home with me too.. perfect interview attire! 

Navy Faux Fur Coat - Topshop (£75.00)

Yes i bought a coat, in August. Talk about being early to the party. However, i was thinking economically with discount and all, plus i do really love it. Navy & fur, yes please! I have already accumulated quite a few long woollen coats over the past few years, including my trusty pillar box red duffle, so its rather nice to have a short-ish coat. 

More of the Primark cardigans - such a steal.

Whilst i was rummaging i couldn't pass up the very girly floral printed pjs in Primark, each piece for a fiver, Cath Kidston eat you heart out. I can report back that they are certainly very toasty and soft indeed. LOVE.

On that note, i'm going to stuff my much loved but not worn summer clothes in to one of these babies i bought today in Ikea. I feel like i deserve another holiday to justify the amount of clothes i er bought for my two weeks in Cuba - it was practically LFW every breakfast and dinner sporting a new outfit. Atleast  i'll be prepared for next year, wink wink. Have you picked up any bits for a/w yet?

I wore this outfit to my friends 21st party, i had been saving this dress to wear and it was the perfect occasion. I adore the delicate lace detailing on the chest and sleeve.

Let me introduce to you to my date for the evening, one of my bestests Edward (known otherwise as Mr Darcy), he has a handbag collection to rival Selfridges and is my ultimate partner in crime. All you need to know about his outfit are those bad boy Gucci high-tops.

I wore this to a press breakfast in the city a few weeks ago, with my utterly blogging internetz friend Tass. Where we sipped bottled Coke in the Coca Cola pop-up diner in Selfridges (must visit!) and talked skincare like crazy!

Oddly the boy received the new H&M lookbook in the post before i did, after he worryingly shoved it my hands and cussed ever ordering me presents from the H&M site. As i began to flick through their new A/W collections, i mentally made the biggest wish possible. Seriously, the pieces are so on trend yet so simple and so bloody affordable. I couldn't help but lust over the above dress, which i so happened to hunt eagerly down whilst picking up some last holiday bits.

Its the Zara dress i lusted over but could never quite afford, its the Miss Guided dress that is actually good quality and cheaper! Its the perfect cut, i adore the heavy material, especially the longer arm length and its not ridiculously short. I cannot wait to pair this with a black waist belt and thick black tights! I may also have to snap up the other black and orange shades!

This burnt orange colour will definitely inject some warmth in to A/W. Also making a mental note that i must, must buy that bag.

In other news, just before i leave you for my two week holiday, i have something exciting to share. Yesterday morning was pretty much a disaster, Thomas Cook phoned to say that our hotel had been closed because of no water supply or air con; so they were transferring my family to another hotel. My typically male father incorrectly wrote the wrong call centre advisor telephone number down to confirm,  so my mother waited (i wont say patiently) three hours and forty minutes on hold to sort it.

Needless to say Warehouse Twitter saw my despair and as part of their 30 day Ware Treats giveaway they kindly, but bloody amazingly treated me to a KINDLE! Something i've ben pondering over for a while, i say as i eye up the five books in my carry on luggage. And, my mum finally got through and we have been upgraded to a more premium hotel! I honestly never win anything, maybe i should have done the EuroMillions eh? There is still another eight more days to win a WareStyle treat, simply become a Facebook fan or a Twitter follower to be in with a chance! 

See you in two weeks! Hopefully i will be laden with duty free purchases (Victoria Secrets anyone?) and  endless bottles of Cuban rum, yum. Skinny Love.

Yesterday afternoon my graduation took place at London's City Festival Hall, as much as it was exciting to see my friends and teachers from my university class and a good excuse for a knees up, it really a very long dwindling day. After the first one hundred students appear on stage, the next 500 is a very long process!  My parents and brother were super excited to say the lease - as i'm the first graduate in our family! - despite the fact my mother practically snoozed off missing me entirely and my grandparents who comically were glued to the live online screening, whilst my grandmother practically sobbed at every Sarah crossing the stage according to my grandfather. Oh dear lord, i leave you with the standard awful robed photos!

This outfit was somewhat thrown together the day before, i nabbed the pink dusty blazer from H&M for £19.99 - steal! The pumps were also a last minute purchase from Office, so bloody comfy, i may go back and buy the other colours!

Just another girl that wants to rule the world, any time or place.

On Thursday night i was lucky enough to catch the play Frankenstein at The National Theatre. I've alway's loved the theatre, and when choosing what i wanted to study at university, a degree in Theatre was a pretty high contender. Alas i decided that my heart really wasn't in it, and i always got type casted as the evil characters - food for thought there. Never the less, my friend Sarah and Elizabeth both study the arts, so every now and then we all like to put on our posh frocks and not forgetting, our very posh Surrey accents, as you do.

I couldn't for the life of me decide what dress to wear, so i settled on a pair of chinos - what have i become? Looking back on them, they really aren't flattering. Shame really. I'm starting to think i really am a dress girl through and through.

In-keeping with the horror theme, it would be rude not to treat oneself to a Frankenstein cocktail! Melon liqueur and lime, with a dash of some mysterious smoke, eerie.

The play was utterly amazing, based on Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein, director Danny Boyle bought the horror to life with a slight modern twists, in a gripping and thrilling way. The thought of Marry Shelley itself brings back horrific tale of English Literature exams, shudder, never the less with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the (naked) monster was very appealing. Cumberbatch, mostly notably seen in the television drama Sherlock, shared the role with Jonny Lee Miller (aka Ang Jolies's ex) whereby each night they swapped the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the monster, crazy acting skills there. 

I'm off to see Billy Elliot tomorrow, despite the fact i'm not the biggest fan of musicals, with the family. Then off to see Dr. Faustus at The Globe in July, how cultured! Are you planning a trip to the theatre soon? Any recommendations?
