My heart was wrapped up in clover.

Tuesday, May 10, 2011
It was an offer i simply couldn't refuse. A few months back Sleek went a bit stir crazy and decided to reward their loyal customers by offering all orders at half price for three days. Naturally the pissing servers went down, and mine - as well as many others - orders went down the pan. With this offer failing miserably, ever since Sleek has been emailing 50% voucher codes to customers who tried to place an order. Mine just happened to hit my inbox when they launched their new lippies and whilst i was having a moment of retail therapy weakness.

I think this entire order came to £16, including P&P.

Pout Polish in Sugar May & Powder Pink - £4.30 each

Similar to the Mac lip tints, these pout polishes are actually rather lovely. They are moisturising and have a good deal of colour pay off, without being too in your face. I would never wear that bright pink in a lipstick form, but as a glossy tint, i could everyday. Perfect for throwing in my handbag.

Rose Gold Blusher - £4.30

That photo really isn't lying, packed full of golden shimmer, the pink toned coral is not for the faint hearted. With a-pack-a-punch of pigmentation, you do need a light hand or have a dab hand at blending. The gold flecks are very, very highlighting. So don't even attempt to let this baby near the apples of your cheeks. Used a light contour, it reflects beautifully. More for a holiday or night-time, not for an 8hr shift in retail as i found.

Contour Brush - £8.00

Heaven knows why i bought this. I don't even own the actual Sleek Contour set. It is a pretty standard brush, the size of each end is fairly small and both ends look completely the same, defeats the point, no? It did however come in a handy material envelope holder, which is probably why it is so expensive.

True Colour lipstick in Peaches & Cream and Baby Doll - £4.00

Without testing these in store prior to purchasing, i didn't quite realise how bright they were! Think the Amplified formula from Mac. Needless to say, i am loving Peaches & Cream, i think i have found a bright lip colour than doesn't make me recline in horror/can wear outside of just prancing about in the house etc.

And the terrible Mac Booth photos, what horrendous poses!

Peaches & Cream

It's clearly brighter in real life and can some what be described as within the same family of Mac's Morange lipstick. Its definitely an orange shade rather than a coral, and quite strangely i rather like it!

Baby Doll

Which can only be described as a mix of Barbie and Towie, shudder. In the photos it looks slightly wearable, in real life however i look like i've eaten pink concealer. Tragic. I do hope i get to wear this on Halloween, maybe evoke my inner Nicki Minaj- who can i say, cannot rap to save her life.

And just for giggles, my inner Amy Childs, alright hunny?
