Feeling this.

This post is horrendously overdue, considering my birthday was technically a few weeks back, but what the heck? I thought i'd share some of the shenanigans with you. For a fairly naff, boring age of twenty two i had a really amazing week of birthday celebrations..

I went 80's dancing with my nearest and dearest, which included lots of oversized cocktails, awful dance shapes and full on renditions of Grease and MJ's Thriller.

One Shoulder Wrap Dress - Topshop (£46.00)

The birthday outfit included this lovely berry dress from Topshop, it has very grecian edge with one shoulder and draped skirt. My wonderful YSL Tribute rip off heels from River Island lasted all of five minutes, in-fact they didn't even make it down Croydon high-street, such a wimp.

Then on my actual birthday i spent the day and night in Brighton with the boyfriend, it has such an amazing atmosphere, much more chilled out than London town. Not going to lie, i was equally determined to visit none other than Sea World (yep, i did turn twenty two, not seven). Boyfriend in tow we gazed at the array of colourful fish of all shapes and sizes, crabs of which i have a severe phobia of (shudder), starfish, sea horses and forget the sharks, there are turtles there the size of small cars.

After moseying on around the lanes and bracing the windy sea air one the pier, we checked in to the beautiful little boutique hotel called the Artist Residence, which is directly opposite the old pier. Each room in the tiny hotel is decorated by a local artist, it is also extremely affordable (dirt cheap) with breakfast in tow - i really couldn't recommend it enough.

We stayed in the Panorama room, decorated by local artist Andy Mclynn which has a amazingly detailed paintings of Brighton's sea front.

And, of course, there wouldn't be a birthday without gifts right?

Breakfast at Tiffanys Companion by Sarah Gristwood - beautiful.
Parisian Chic - A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange.
Benefit Lipglosses from my brother and Nars varnish in Night Flight from Matthew.

My lovely father who jetted off on my birthday to attend his best mate's wedding in New York, they got married on the actual Jersey Shore, no Snooki sightings apparently. He picked me up both presents from my parents and Matthew from Tiffany's.

Return to Tiffany Pearl bracelet from my parents.

Tiffany Bead Bracelet from Matthew.

artistically displayed on shockingly bright pink new Kindle cover - unsure of the tiffany charms but i do love a dainty pearl and silver bead!

Last but not least, surprise tickets to see James Corden's new play - I'm so excited!

Well done if you've read this far crikey! I throughly recommend staying in the Artist Residence hotel, as well as the scrummy doughnuts on the pier. And answer me this, WHY is Tiffanys a heck of a lot cheaper across the pond? In other thoughts, i've banked and saved all the birthday money/gift cards i received for the topshop and netaporter sales (yes please! - muimuimuimui)

Paris

Au revoir i'm off to Paris for a long weekend to celebrate mon 21st anniversaire.

I'm off for a few days to hunt out Chanel, raid Sephora and of course, being the stereotypical tourist. I definitely plan on hitting up the Lourve, Eiffel Tower and the Jardin de Luxembourg, with a river boat tour thrown in to. The boy and i are staying in the business district at the lovely Sofitel La Defense hotel, and plan to just have a chilled out/we cant be bothered to rush around time! Pray the weather stays nice for me and that i don't have to put my Spooks MI5 practice in to action ;)

See you soon! X

Hello Chanel ;)

Birthday

This time next week i shall be twenty one years of age, and not forgetting in Paris!
Despite the fact i'm super excited, i still have so much to do, sorting out maps, metro lines and packing - oh and making sure that the boy actually has a suitcase!

My lovely friends Sarah and Liz also took me to the theatre for my birthday surprise on Wednesday night to see Clybourne Park, which starred Martin Freeman (my all time geek crush), it was such a great play and a such an amazing present idea. And i'm off to spend a good four hours aimlessly wandering around Blue Water tomorrow in a bid to find a birthday present from the boy.

Stylist Magazine

I'm back! The Features Editor Alix asked if i (specifically) could come back in this week so i could help plan for the new year! I certainly feel very glad to be asked back, not only did i have a whirl - but what a compliment! I'll be in the office in Tuesday and Wednesday, compiling lists and planners of events, new releases of books, films, music and conversing with PRs to see what's happening. Basically i get to put my organisational skills in to overdrive, and give them a massive hand in future planning.

Being a Student

As my last year as a student, i fully intend to burn my NUS card to the ground. Heaven knows how i will cope without that added little luxury of 10% off in Topshop. If you have recently graduated or are not a student - i advise you to skip the following paragraph.

River Island and Toppers are hosting some fabulous Student Nights, with 20% off in-store, which is pretty useful if you have your eye on a great pair of winter boots or coat. I will definitely be stopping by the Oxford Street branches to have a nose! (a rummage).

Also, ASOS who left the student discount bandwagon last year and jumped back on. They are currently offering 20% off for the time being, yet they will still offer 10% off year round. Perfect with their Super Saver Delivery.

Winning Competition

My brother is so lucky, every competition going he seems to win, or just finding that odd ten pound note flying around on the pavement. Unfortunately, i can't say that family gene has ever passed over to me. But Saturday night i was casually reading my FB news feed, and i was delighted to see that i had won a fifty pounds voucher for Accessories Online!

I had been aware of this website for quite a long time, often having a good look at the Dogeared necklaces, toying on purchasing. I also became a fan of their FB page a while back, and incidentally i was picked at random in this prize draw!

I'm also delighted to see that they also stock Alex Monroe, so i definitely think one of his adorable necklaces will be on their way to me!

If you want to have a ganders, see here at Accessories Online and their FB page here.

The recent terror alert system is freaking me out ever so slightly, considering i am going to Paris. But as long as i wear my glasses and make copious notes whilst watching this week's Spooks, i hope everything goes smoothly.

So there's enough chatter, i have some posts in the pipeline about new purchases,
and here's the question of today, have you ever won anything exciting?
Do tell & any recommendations for Paris are much welcomed.

trust in me, in all you do.

I adore watches, they are so classic. I've always had a slight infatuation with them, they can totally mix up an outfit, add that something special. Plus they last forever, something to be passed on and on.

For my 21st and my parents are looking to buy one- here are the top contenders..

Although i love the Michael Kors, my heart belongs to Marc.

you thoughts?
