JIMMY CHOO 72

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Whilst out and about in London, on Vogue's Fashion Night Out, myself and a few friends were stopped by a few Jimmy Choo employees and asked to have our picture taken with a large 72 model to promote their new project. Jimmy Choo has recently announced the launch of Project PEP alongside the Elton Johns AIDS foundation to help support the funding of the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa.

By doing so they have designed a limited edition collection to support the foundation, they are donating 25% of all net sales to the Simelea Rape Centre in South Africa. The actual number 72, which we and many celebs had their photo taken bares a very strong message. After possible exposure to HIV, victims of rape only have 72 hours to get to a clinic and start the course of PEP treatment, which could save their lives.

But you can help too, even if you cant afford a piece from the limited collection. All you have to do is simply take a photo that represents you and your shoes! Upload it to the Jimmy Choo 72 website and you can relay the message as well as entering the chance to win some Jimmy Choo goodies!

I plan to upload my picture, however i think its quite boring compared to some of the entries; so i must get creative and dig out all my fabulous shoes in the process!

All these photos were taken off the Jimmy Choo 72 facebook page, seen here. And quite frankly, i was rather amused to see myself tagged on Jimmy Choo's facebook. ;)
